One recipe for two purpose.
Why Do You Need Exfoliating?
Upper part of your skin consists of dead skin cells. These dead skin cells will fall in natural cycle. But in some cases, actually in most cases, these dead skin cells cause bacteria to stick on your skin. And as a result, you experience acne problem.
When you regularly exfoliate your skin, your acne problem will disappear over time. This honey and brown sugar face mask will help your to gently exfoliate your skin. Oily, dry and combination skins can easily use this amazing mask.
What is more, honey in this recipe will help killing all those bacteria that causes acne. Honey has anti-bacterial property. You can benefit from this property in this amazing homemade honey and brown sugar mask.
Honey and Brown Sugar Face Mask Recipe
1 tablespoon of organic raw honey
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
4-5 drops of lavender essential oil*
* Lavender essential oil is optional. This oil will nourish your skin. But if you are allergic to essential oils, you must not apply them on your skin. These essential oils might cause allergic reaction. Always try essential oils on your skin before applying it to your face. You can apply a small portion of this oil on your hand. If you do not show any allergic reaction, you can use it in your honey and brown sugar face mask.
Add organic raw honey and brown sugar in a small bowl.
Add lavender essential oil and extra virgin olive oil to this mixture.
Combine all these ingredients.
Your homemade honey and brown sugar face mask is ready.
How to Use Honey and Brown Sugar Face Mask?
When you DIY honey and brown sugar face mask is ready, you can use it as both face scrub and face mask. Take this mask in your hand and gently massage your face for 3-5 minutes. This will be the exfoliating step. After that, you can keep this amazing mask on your face for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, wash your face with warm water. After exfoliating your skin, you should apply a suitable moisturiser. This way, your skin will be softer and hydrated. Also, as in all other DIY skincare cosmetics, you can always play with ingredients.
So, instead of olive oil you can use sweet almond oil. Or instead of lavender essential oil, you can try tea tree essential oil. It is all up to you. Actually, this is why I love homemade skincare products. You can always play with the ingredients to fit your own skin needs.
